Pro Bowl 2011 Start Time Convenient For Sports Gamblers

The NFL has spent decades ignoring the impact that gambling has on its sport. While the NFL has turned a blind public eye towards gambling, their actions often reflect that they have a complete understanding of how much betting really means to the league.

The Pro Bowl start time for today is another example of how the NFL has a finger on the pulse of their gamblers. The game will begin at 7pm, a perfect time for bettors to finish up their family responsibilities for the day and settle in front of the television for the game.

"They used to play the Pro Bowl in the afternoon, and I never was able to place any bets on the game because I always had family events to attend, and I didn't have time to watch the game," said Las Vegas resident Gaby Huerta. "Today, I will be watching the game and I have already placed my bets last night at the sports book."

Thousands of gamblers will be watching the game tonight live from Las Vegas sports books. With not much else going on in the world of sports on this Sunday evening, the Pro Bowl will be the premiere betting attraction of the evening. Even with some of the top players out of the game due to injury, bettors will be tuned in thanks to the start time.

helping out the sports books with the Pro Bowl has also been the NBA this afternoon. Two attractive games, Miami at Oklahoma City, and Boston at Los Angeles, will be played during the afternoon hours leading up to the Pro Bowl. The NBA games have brought gamblers to the sports books, and the Pro Bowl will likely keep them there through the night.

Odds makers have created an easy line for bettors, a pick 'em. The total for the game is up over sixty, indicating that sports books do not expect much defense to be played in the game. The Pro Bowl is back in Honolulu, Hawaii after a one year hiatus. The game last year was played in Miami, the site of the Super Bowl.
